Contact
Upon receiving your enquiry, one of our designers will visit your garden for a consultation about what you require so we can understand the brief.
Survey
We will carry out a detailed garden survey, establishing the site conditions, and what existing structures and hard services are already in your garden.
Proposal
After your consultation we will send you a proposal outlining our design fees. Should you choose to commission us, we will then initiate the design process.
Concepts
For the creative process, our designers will draft drawings and planting ideas by working through shapes and material based on your preferences.
Installation
The hard work begins on your garden! You will be assigned a dedicated project manager who will ensure the effective delivery of your project.
Aftercare
We can provide on-going aftercare to make sure your garden is kept looking at its best throughout the year and bring it to its full potential.

Our in-house design team is led by Simon George, who has been designing gardens for more than 12 years. Simon’s best assets are his eye for detail, ability to convey our customers preferences into the final design, and his skill with solving problems.
Sustainable Landscapes also works with renowned South West London garden designers such as Rosie Wilkins, David Simpson and Humaira Ikram. Our diverse panel of designers means that whatever style you would like your garden to follow, there is someone on our team who can deliver it.

What areas do you cover?
We are garden designers for South West London. We cover the following locations Barnes, Esher, Hampton, Kew, Kingston upon Thames, Molesey, New Malden, Raynes Park, Richmond, Sunbury-on-Thames, Surbiton, Teddington, Twickenham, Weybridge and Wimbledon amongst others. .
What is the cost to design a garden?
We include 2D designs as part of our free estimate. The cost of the landscaping build varies as each project is bespoke. The price depends on the size of your garden space, the complexity of the design and your choice of materials. Our designers can work to any budget, simply let us know what it is and we will provide the best possible options so that you maximise your investment.
What is your procedure?
Initially one of our designers will visit your property to assess your garden space and consult with you about what it is you would like to achieve in your garden and your style preferences. Once the designer has an understanding, they will prepare a plan and an estimate for another consultation. Depending on the number of alterations, together we will arrive at a final design. Then to proceed with the build, we require a 10% booking fee to schedule the work. Our landscaping team will set about bringing your vision to life.
What if I do not like the design?
Our process is structured so that we arrive at a final design which you are 100% satisfied with. The first step is to present you with concepts and ideas, then work with you to develop these. The final design naturally evolves as we take on board your feedback and continually tweak and amend until you are happy with the design.
How long is the design process?
Typically the design process takes anywhere between 7 to 14 days to finalise. The length of time depends on the complexity of the project and the amount of feedback we have to incorporate.
Will you build from my own designs?
Yes, we will. We often collaborate with designers or work from customer’s own designs. In such instances, our designers will review the designs to fully understand the brief, before handing these to the project foreman to complete the build.
Do you design commercial gardens?
Yes, we do. We have designed and built gardens for multiple commercial properties across South West London. These include schools, churches, dentists, the NHS, office blocks and accountants amongst others.
Can you maintain my garden?
Absolutely! We advise all our customers to take up regular garden maintenance once a landscape project has been completed, afterall you will want to look after your investment. Our monthly garden maintenance service includes grass cutting and edging, lawn care, weeding, planting, strimming, composting, hedge trimming, pruning and mulching amongst others. Our hourly rate is £32.50 +VAT per hour.
